Mechanix WearWhether you're adjusting a chain, checking your tire pressure or doing a major rebuild, a good set of gloves is essential. In fact, several sets are. Over the years we've tried em all, from latex and rubber gloves to full leather gloves. The latex gloves would fail after several minutes of use and the leather gloves didn't allow for articulate tasks such as removing and hand tightening bolts. To date, the best gloves we've found to accomplish all the tasks related to working on a motorcycle are those made by Mechanix. For our selection here, we've chosen gloves that are durable, allow for articulate work and are easy to get on and off. You won't find velcro fasteners at the wrists because they are both inconvenient and unnecessary for servicing a motorcycle. When they get dirty, simply toss them in the washer so you can use them over and over again. Consider a simple synthetix leather pair, like the FastFit for your touring bag and a leather fingered pair like the CG Utility for your tool box at home. And remember, Mechanix gloves are designed to be used for maintainance work, not for riding.
